) counsels some of the world’s leading companies on their tax, labor and compensation issues in China.
China has undergone the greatest economic transformation in the history of the world. Generally China bonuses are down, yet many enjoyed a rise; high-earning China based executives working at China based foreign invested enterprises, like much of the world, suffered decreases; and while China based foreign invested enterprises did their best to manage expectations, many Chinese executives ended up dissatisfied with the size and structure of their bonuses because companies did not take into account the best was to structure these bonuses from a tax perspective and from a China law, regulations and policy perspective.
When it comes to China based bonuses for foreign invested enterprises the picture can be complex, Edward Lehman will explain in detail and with hand outs in Chinese and English, laws, regulations and policies in these areas as well as the tax and labor laws governing the bonus structure to those who work for Chinese foreign invested enterprises.
This LEHMAN, LEE & XU Master Class will contain case studies, statistics and contain China based results from recent publicly available surveys from Greater China which examines 2011 bonuses in China for those who work in for China based foreign invested enterprises, deal with the ramifications of non-compete clauses under Chinese laws, regulations and policies, and the China New Labor Contract Law.
