The Mongolian Properties Company recently released an excellent report about housing in Mongolia. This report is entitled, “Mongolian Properties Real Estate Report 2103” and it can be found at,
http://apipcorp.com/Real_Estate_Report_Book_small.pdf.
This 141 page report is filled with information that anyone wanting to know more about the subject will find it to be highly informative. The topics covered by this report include, a “Political Review”, a “Legal Review”, a “Tax Overview”, a “Macroeconomic Review”, and also “Demand Drivers”, “Supply Constraints”, a “Sectoral Analysis” and a “District Analysis”. In addition, this Report includes maps, charts and great photos taken in and around Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital city.
One thing I found to particularly interesting in this Report was the way it broke down Ulaanbaatar into its five districts, Sukhbaatar, Chingelti, Bazanzurkh, Bayangol and Khan-Uul. The location of these five districts is very clearly shown on the excellent color map found at the very beginning of the Report.
The Report’s overview of Mongolian Law in its “Legal System” section was of special interest to me as well. Mongolia’s legal system is in a state of constant reform and refinement. The “Legal System” section of the Report will be of value to anyone considering doing business in Mongolia, and more specifically in Ulaanbaatar. It is concise and very informative. The “Legal System” section of the Report can be found at pages 34-42.
