On June 18, 2013, “American Citizens Abroad” (ACA) announced that it will be holding its annual meeting on June 25, 2013 in Geneva Switzerland. The LEHMAN, LEE & XU Law Firm is a proud supporter of ACA, and I currently have the honor of being the ACA representative in Beijing.
American Citizens Abroad (ACA), which was founded in 1978, is a non-profit, non-partisan, volunteer association whose mission is to represent the interests of Americans living overseas. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with offices in Washington D.C., the association draws on more than three decades of rich experience and knowledge of laws affecting Americans living overseas
ACA is a membership organization representing Americans abroad. It is reorganizing as a US tax-exempt organization operating under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Alongside it will be American Citizens Abroad Global Foundation, a publicly-supported charity under section 501(c)(3).
For more than 35 years ACA has represented the rights of U.S. citizens residing overseas vis-à-vis the U.S. Government. ACA has membership in over 90 countries, and is proud of its network of country representatives.
When I was appointed as the ACA Representative for Beijing, I joined more than 70 other individuals in 45+ countries who are working to aid their fellow citizens abroad. I am very proud to serve as an ACA representative, and I look forward to carrying out all of my duties and responsibilities accordingly.
