The Chinese lawyers and visa specialists at Lehman, Lee & Xu receive inquiries every day from our clients, who were trapped outside of China after visiting abroad over Chinese New Year, asking how to get back to China. These inquiries come from companies which operate in China, as well as from individual expatriates employed in China. Earlier this year, PRC authorities invalidated Visas and Residence Permits for foreigners currently outside the country due to concerns over COVID-19.
Our team has assisted several of our clients, in obtaining the special approvals now required to obtain a new China visa which would allow re-entrance into the country. However, even with visa in hand, we are still seeing people with trouble finding a flight to China, as many countries and airlines have restricted flights.
Due to the volume of interest the firm has encountered in this regard, Lehman, Lee & Xu is exploring the possibility of securing a chartered flight for our clients from the USA into China. To this end, we must be able to guarantee at least 120 passengers for a charter flight from the USA to China. Our team will guide you through the application and approval process to ensure you are able to participate in the charter flight with valid China visa. Passengers will be required to obtain a special invitation letter from their destination city as part of China’s new post-COVID visa requirements. All participants will be required to demonstrate recent COVID-19 testing with negative result in order to fly, and all standard health and safety precautions will be followed.
