Last year, in Honolulu Hawaii US, they launched a ban on pedestrians looking at mobile phones or texting while crossing the street. Fines of $15 to $99 will be involved in the violation of the ban, in order to target smartphone zombies. Do you think in China we need a ban like this as well?
I do not think such ban will be feasible or enforceable in China considering the large population here and limitations on supervisory bodies for overseeing such dangerous actions. Self-discipline will be more essential here to cure the urge for using smartphones inappropriately.
