THE ANECDOTES OF CONFUZED: WHY DOES BIG LAW FAIL IN CHINA?(1)

China has the second largest economy in the world with an amazing entrepreneurial population that is five times the population of the US, yet international mega-law firms continue on their own “Long March” wherein they continue to either hunker down or find a way like the Nixon administration when they withdrew from the Vietnam conflict to leave Asia with honor.

My take on this is that Big Law has proven one can create only “small fortune” by merely operating an office in China .  Arguably, one must first start with a “large fortune” and work up from there.  One does not have to listen to me- a guy working at a Chinese law firm- just follow the pathway of press releases in reverse.
