A:In the past few years, China has made great efforts to improve the basic health care system on the basis of the past and has built the world’s largest health care network, but at the same time, Chinese government also noticed that there are some difficult families encountering problems for going to hospital checking serious illness. There are many families which don’t have access to high quality medical resources, and it is often reported in the new media.
China is too big, and there are more than 30 million poor population in China. The CPC attaches great importance to the task of poverty alleviation and has made a commitment to the whole society by winning this tough battle. Among the poor population, many become poor because of a serious illness or return to poverty status due to serious illness. Therefore, on the basis of consolidating basic medical insurance, China must focus on the problem of treating major diseases. In the past few years, China innovated the system, combined basic medical insurance and commercial insurance and applied the “Large Number Rule” to amplify the capital effect so that more people can enjoy medical insurance for serious illnesses. Last year, the number of people enjoying the medical insurance for serious illnesses reached more than 17 million people. In order to enhance the standard of providing the medical insurance, it requires the Chinese government to put more effort and more subsidies on developing the basic and supplementary medical insurance system in the coming years.
