LEHMAN, LEE & XU China Lawyers Maritime Practice Group will be presenting a master class: Maritime Law & Contract Fundamentals for China, which is a comprehensive Master Class examining the structure of the maritime contractual and legal environment regarding seaworthiness, environmental and civil liabilities, claims and dispute management for non-lawyers as it relates to China.
China specific topics that will be examined with hand-outs and case studies include the contract of sale, with its individual rights and obligations, shipping terms in the contract, the types of contracts used in China, and the rights, obligations and associated costs arising from these arrangements under Chinese laws, regulations and policies. Various international conventions, law of the sea, and marine insurance will also be addressed.
