On July 20th, American Citizen Services (ACS) at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing launched its first Facebook page. This is another convenient and interactive channel to improve the service of ACS for American citizens.
Facebook, known as one of the biggest social network system (SNS) websites, gains its worldwide popularity ranging from the young to the old. Previous Internet media of ACS are mainly its official website and warden message system. The newly launched Facebook page offers a more humanized way to release messages. American citizens can now find needed information, including services, hours of operation, location and such other updates. ACS said the Facebook page is a supplement rather than a replacement of the existing channels.
